IT'S A WEEK OF BIG GAMES AND WE'RE READY FOR THE CHALLENGE

We're back from the international break and at Stamford Bridge again for a big game this afternoon.

From an England point of view, we were obviously delighted to get two good results last week. I also want to congratulate Daniel Sturridge on making his full England debut on Tuesday night, as well as Frank on captaining the side and scoring the winner at Wembley last Saturday.

Studge has been great for us and fully deserved his call-up. I also want to mention that Ash and Lamps are both close to 100 caps for their country now, which would be an incredible achievement for two of the most consistent players ever in the England team, as well as in the Premier League.

Well done, as well, to Raul and Big Pete on their qualification for the European Championships next summer after helping Portugal and the Czech Republic to wins in their play-off games.

Now, the focus returns to club matters and, with Liverpool visiting, it is going to be an important game for us. We have faced Liverpool many times over recent seasons and there have been some classics among those games. There is always a good atmosphere as well, which only adds to the occasion.

They will be bringing Steve Clarke and Glen Johnson back to the Bridge today and it will be great to see them here again.

This game has been dedicated by the club to Kick It Out's "One Game, One Community" initiative and everyone here is committed to removing discrimination from our game and we do a lot of work as a club and through the Chelsea Foundation.

It has been a while since we had a home game and, after a good win at Blackburn before the break, we want to build a run of results to assert ourselves at the top of the table. This is the time when there are a lot of games, both in the league and the Champions League. If we are to catch Manchester City we must go on a good run at home and away.

We've got another important game in midweek as well, with a trip to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League. We must go there and ensure qualification as group winners, which we can do with three points. Two good results - today and Wednesday - will leave us looking strong on both fronts. That is where we want to be. Let's go out there and work together for the right result.

Come on the Chels!
