WE WILL ALWAYS PUSH OURSELVES AND PUT IN STRONG PERFORMANCES

Last season we won this fixture to secure the Premier League title on the final day. Now, it's important we win it again because we are still giving this league campaign everything we have got.

We will never stop going - we want to pick up as many points as possible to put ourselves in the best position we can come the end of the season.

The fact that Wigan need a result for their own reasons should mean that this is a full-blooded game between two teams that like to play football. We intend to come out of it with maximum points. With Arsenal away to Blackpool, Manchester City away to Liverpool and Man United facing Fulham, everyone around us has a tough game, so we must win to put pressure on them.

That way we can push ourselves on in the league and go into the second leg of our Champions League quarter-final on the back of a good result and a strong performance. After Wednesday night's game, it's clear in our minds what we need to do. We know we're capable of going and winning at Old Trafford - we did it last year when the title race was hinging on the result of that game. But we must show more than we did in the first leg.

We're looking forward to that challenge, but we won't be taking our eye off the game in front of us for one minute. That's the way we always work at Chelsea and today's match is another important one in our season.

Yossi Benayoun was back on the bench on Wednesday. That is a great boost for the team as well as a good moment for him. To get a long-term injury at the time he did was really unfortunate. However, he's worked hard to come back from it and I'm sure he will show Chelsea fans he can be a brilliant player for us.

Alex is back in training as well following some surgery and both of them are desperate to play a part for us in the closing weeks of the season. I also want to mention Carl Magnay, one of our young centre-backs, who has had a long spell out with serious injuries and is now back in full training. He's a great lad, a really strong character and all of us can't wait to see him back on the pitch in match action.

Also, we are all right behind the youth team, who have got a massive game here tomorrow - an FA Youth Cup semi-final first leg against Man United. For those of you who can't make it, the game is live on Chelsea TV. Unfortunately, Billy Clifford, who has been great this season, has picked up an injury and will miss the game, so we all wish him well for a quick return.

Thanks again for your unbelievable support, home and away. We always appreciate you being there behind us. Now let's get three points from this game, then go up to Manchester and turn the tie around.

Come on the Chels!
